Job summary

CMI Group Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Manufacturing Shop Planner for our Tempe, AZ location. This on-site role focuses on coordinating daily production, leading SIOP activities, and ensuring on-time delivery for aerospace components.

You will manage MRP, capacity, and lead times, while optimizing planning parameters and ERP forecasting. ITAR/EAR compliance and U.S. Person status are required due to the sensitive nature of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing scheduling and planning ERP experience.
• Syteline ERP experience preferred.
• Compliance with ITAR/EAR and U.S. Person status required.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production and weekly SIOP meetings with data and guidance.
• Develop and maintain production plans for materials and SIOP/revenue.
• Manage MRP, capacity, lead time, and assembly schedule.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve component availability and resource constraints.

Manufacturing Shop Planner(Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing setting)Location: CMI Group - 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281Shift: Full time, day shift - On-site required, not a remote position.Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be able to comply with U.S. export control regulations(ITAR/EAR); U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) is required.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and drive daily production and weekly SIOP meetings to provide data and guidance, identify and communicate risk, and lead problem solving efforts including risk mitigationCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to influence priorities, escalations and validate business requirementsDevelops and maintains production plans for materials planning and SIOP/revenue plansManage MRP, capacity, lead time, and assembly schedule for assigned products. Ensure adequate workflow to maintain production and meet output and delivery expectationsRequires identifying, escalating, expediting, monitoring, and resolving issues related to component availability (purchased and manufactured) and any resource constraintsCreate, compile, distribute and track work orders for upper-level assemblies and lower level components. Maintain work order and sales order forecasted dates to ensure they reflect current expectationsMaintain and optimize planning parameters such as MOQ, safety stock, lead time, and capacity within ERP systemExecute and refine forecasting processes within the ERP system and lead our SIOP processAnalyze inventory to determine how to increase turns, avoid excess and obsolete inventory while also ensuring a constant supply of parts to support on time delivery. Manage inventory transitions associated with ECN’s, product rationalization, substitutions, and new product introductionsCoordinate with Operations and Supply Chain and monitor part specific details. Establish and improve scheduling systems and associated processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team and the operationServes as subject matter expert for planning, develops and shares best practices and works to advance the skills and capabilities of others on the teamAdhere to company policies and procedures, including ITAR and other compliance regulationsPartner with Program Managers to ensure shop alignment to customer needs and responsiveness. Understand the customer statement of work and contractual obligations and ensure bilateral compliance and maintenance of all relevant information such as active part numbers, pricing effectivity, and minimum order quantities.
