Job summary

LMI Aerospace, Inc. in Saint Charles, Missouri is looking for a candidate to perform production planning responsibilities including generating documentation, tracking engineering questions, and maintaining Bill of Materials. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred.

Job description

Position Summary

Perform responsibilities necessary to generate and update all production planning.

Position Responsibilities
  • Generate all production planning documentation per customer specifications, engineering documents and models.
  • Generate manufacturing planning for rework work orders when needed.
  • Maintain manufacturing planning stays current and updated.
  • Generate, submit and track engineering questions to customers.
  • Coordinate customer responses with appropriate departments.
  • Validate outside vendors are approved to customers specifications.
  • Maintain part configuration by reviewing customer change notices, revision changes and PO changes.
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) from customer engineering requirements.
  • Review customer specifications and engineering requirements to ensure all processes and procedures are being met.
Qualifications
  • High School Education or GED. Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP system, CATIA/MASTERCAM or similar engineering software.
  • Experience in CNC machining and quality inspection techniques.
  • Comprehension of customer specifications and blueprints.
  • Understanding of CNC machine capabilities.
  • Must be self‑motivated, organized, willing to learn and ready to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position will require an employee to perform the following functions effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • View and read documents, and computer monitors.
  • View machines and other operations as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Verbal communication with department managers and plant personnel.

  • Lift and carry a minimum of 10 lbs.
  • Occasional requirements may include standing for prolonged periods, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, and lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs.
