Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations (PSP) at the Horsham, PA site to lead the Sub-assembly, Assembly, and Test organizations and deliver PSP Wet Processing products. The role emphasizes execution, accountability, and leadership development in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

You will drive safety, quality, and on-time deliveries while shaping a world-class organization through mentoring and strategic workforce planning. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management with 10+ years of progressive production leadership in a large organization.
• Experience with Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, 8D and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Sub-assembly, Assembly, and Test organizations with focus on execution and performance.
• Champion safety and quality culture, ensuring regulatory and ISO standards compliance.
• Lead operational excellence across manufacturing, driving quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accountability for on-time deliveries and continuous improvement programs.
• Establish budget and resource plan for site manufacturing operations.
• Develop organization through training, coaching, and mentoring of teams.
• Lead product quality investigations and 8D problem solving.
• Execute product transitions including insourcing/outsourcing globally.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing and cycle time reduction through automation.
