Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member I to operate semi-automated production equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, and troubleshooting. You will read orders and blueprints, inspect parts for quality, and document results while supporting lean initiatives and cross-training across shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic English, and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and perform visual quality inspections.
• Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills may be required depending on the equipment and the area the employee is responsible for.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, press operations, or other manual tasks to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Inspect product for quality using gauges and visual inspection; record findings and communicate downtime in logs.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications for machine setup and product quality; ensure BOM accuracy and inventory transactions.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects to technical staff.
• Report accurate counts of parts, scrap, and labor hours via paperwork or electronic entry.
• Participate in lean manufacturing activities and cross-train across machines and areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
