Job summary

Powell Industries is hiring a Production Worker at our Southeast Houston facility. You will assist painters, machine operators, welders, and material handlers under supervision. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:00am-2:30pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include loading parts onto lines, labeling, performing routine cleaning, and assisting with preventative maintenance. Must meet safety and ISO requirements and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use basic math, reading and writing to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Load unpainted metal parts onto the Paint Line.
• Load copper bars and pipe onto the Bus Insulation Line Conveyor.
• Unload painted metal parts and attach the required part identification label.
• Assist with maintenance of Paint Line & Bus Insulation Line equipment.
• Move parts according to part routing.
• Assist machine operators with various tasks as needed.
• Perform painting, grinding, sanding or general cleaning as directed.
