Job summary

Micropore, Inc. in Elkton, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support packaging and production activities on the line. You will run equipment, check tolerances, package product, and help maintain quality and records as part of a lean, ISO 9001 environment.

The position offers a trial 12-hour night shift, with seven days per two weeks, then a standard 8-hour schedule, on-site training, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Able to work shift work and overtime.
• Strong reading, writing and comprehension of simple work instructions and procedures.
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Team player with ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Flexible to change and open to feedback.
• LEAN manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run equipment independently.
• Check tolerances.
• Package product.
• Inline QC of manufactured parts.
• Winding/punching/stamping/chopping of materials.
• Maintain clear records.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
• Conduct routine maintenance on production equipment.
• Attend production, safety, and company meetings.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
