Job Elements
- Read activity board for scheduled color changes, conversions, and set-ups.
- Create, label, and number boxes.
- Read shop orders for product requirements and verify box label matches the product.
- Answer bells, check for stuck parts, and use Process Monitor on press.
- Clean machines after completing production activities and maintain efficiency.
- When necessary, operate emergency stops on closing machines, grinders, auxiliary, and equipment and understand lockout/tag-out procedure.
- Operate and maintain all types of manufacturing equipment, at times operating several machines at once to relieve for breaks/lunch.
- Examine and discard defective goods and packaging components, rummaging through the product to look for gross defects.
- Monitor the machine operations to ensure that the finished product and components adequately match the quality and quantity constraints.
- Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Communicate any gross defects to the technical team and report any problems or issues to other team members.
Required Qualifications
- Three weeks of on-the-job training.
- Ability to read, count, and write (high school preferred).
- Ability to distinguish color.
- Minimum of 6 attendance points and under no disciplinary action.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Prompt, reliable attendance is required.
Marginal Job Functions (Not fundamental job duties)
- Answer alarms (stop machines, clear parts and alarm, restart).
- Color match parts to master color chip.
