Job summary

Amy’s Kitchen, Inc. in White City, Oregon seeks a Manufacturing Operator IV for the dough room on the 2nd shift. You will prepare dough, vegetable mixes, toppings, and other materials for assembly lines and ensure batch sheets are completed and procedures followed.

The role requires at least 6 months of heavy lifting experience, basic English/Spanish reading, and teamwork. You’ll operate processing equipment, maintain quality, complete daily shift reports, and support a safe, clean production

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a heavy lifter.
  • Ability to read English and Spanish; basic math and forms.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dough, vegetable mixes, toppings and other materials for assembly lines.
  • Maintain line speeds and quality; follow batch sheets.

Pay: $17.75, plus $1.00/hr for 2nd shift, total = $18.75/hr

SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing dough, vegetable mixes, toppings and other materials that will be used in the assembly lines. Employee is responsible for completing batch sheets properly and following the established operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Maintain established standards for line speeds and quality
  • Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy's Kitchen Inc. handbook for employee, the safety manual and GMP booklet
  • Take proper precautions and use all equipment safely
  • Wear personal protective gear as assigned
  • Notify the Line lead or Supervisor of any quality, safety, or mechanical problems
  • Operate processing equipment as trained
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform housekeeping procedures as needed.
  • Follow procedures according to the batch sheets or other approved document
  • Inform team leader or supervisor of any deviations to the process
  • Report any mechanical or potential mechanical problems with equipment to the maintenance department. Malfunctioning equipment must be removed from the production line and taken to the maintenance shop if practical; otherwise a notice should be placed on the equipment and the Production Supervisor informed
  • Be punctual and have excellent attendance
  • Understand quality standards for each product
  • Understand formulas and procedures for prep work including but not limited to: dough mixing, potato mixing, blancher operations, cheese cutting, baking times, and other special cooking performed in production
  • Ability to complete reports as necessary
  • Review and ensure the accuracy for all transactions (ie issuing materials, requisitions, and returns to stock.
  • Report all transactions in Oracle against Manufacturing Orders for materials required, request and return to stock.
  • Complete daily Shift Report on the day’s run.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • During peak season or base on company needs overtime is required

EDUCATION

Less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

Must have at least 6 months of experience as heavy lifter and maintain a good record.
