Job Description

The Production Specialist I will work in a high-performing, fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet production requirements while maintaining safety and quality. Responsibilities include supporting setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products. The role involves teamwork, motivating peers, and fostering a quality-focused environment.

This role is on the A1 shift: 7AM-7:30PM, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Wednesday.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures, and promote a proactive safety culture. Use approved tools to minimize contamination.
  • Perform housekeeping on finishing lines, complete line clearances, and blow down equipment on 1-2 value streams.
  • Assist in setting up automated packaging equipment within 1-2 value streams.
  • Operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment to produce finished products with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct quality tasks such as sampling, in-process checks, and accountability measures during production runs.
  • Sustain 6S standards for parts and tooling across the production floor.
  • Escalate safety, quality, technical, and operational issues promptly.
  • Communicate improvement opportunities and work closely with production scheduling and team members.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform adjustments to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical experience or degree preferred.
  • Strong focus on quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting issues.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn new applications.
  • Knowledge of systems like POMs, SAP, MAXIMO preferred.
  • Understanding of cGMP requirements is advantageous.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Work hours: 40-48 hours per week, possibly up to 60 depending on manufacturing demands.
