Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member I to run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, and other manual tasks. You will inspect quality, read orders/bluprints, and document downtime.

You will troubleshoot minor issues, log labor and material usage, and collaborate in lean initiatives. Overtime may be required in this role, with safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and perform visual quality inspections.
• Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills may be required depending on the equipment and the area the employee is responsible for.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
• Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by the company is required.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and/or perform light assembly, packaging, press operations, or other manual tasks by hand per instructions.
• Inspect product for quality during production using gauges and visual inspection; record findings and log downtime.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications and ensure bills of materials are accurate.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects to technical staff.
• Report production counts, scrap and labor hours via paperwork or electronic entry.
• Follow 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities to reduce waste and learn new skills.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
