Job summary

Alkegen in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator I for the 2nd shift. You will set up and operate production machinery, including presses and coating lines, to maintain production throughput and quality.

You will perform equipment changes, troubleshoot issues, complete paperwork, and support a safe, clean workplace. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Alkegen values diversity and teamwork.

Come grow with us! **Job Requirements:** The manufacturing operator II position is responsible for set-up of all machinery on shop floor. Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating lines in compliance with the company’s standards. **Responsibilities:** Responsible to set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes. * Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime.* Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating operations consisting of prep, coating, sheet separating and de-framing of gaskets while also maintaining rate that is part specific.* Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards.* Responsible to make sure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.* Assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die.* Able to provide light maintenance on machines or a die including by not limited to oiling and greasing.* Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely.* Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.* Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.* Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned. **Qualifications/ Experience:** **Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:****(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)*** High school diploma or equivalent.**Experience:** * Manufacturing experience a plus.**Licenses/Certifications:** * N/A **Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:****(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)****Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Strong written and verbal communication skills* Basic math skills* Highly motivated* Strong time management and priorities management skills* Analytical and problem-solving skills* Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
