Manufacturing Operator I

MagneticSeal is currently seeking a motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Operator tojoin our team in Warren, RI. In this hands-on role, you will support the productionof precision components by performing routine setup, operation, and basictroubleshooting of manufacturing equipment (manual and semi-automated),conducting preventative maintenance, following detailed work instructions andquality standards, and contributing to a safe, efficient productionenvironment. EssentialFunctions:

• Produces product on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards
• Takes direction to learn basic machine operation, setup, and maintenance
• Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed
• Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications
• Load and unload machines as per the cycle time goals
• Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences
• Performs basic measurement tasks to verify product is within the required specifications
• Responsible for maintaining visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery
• Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules
• Stops work is an unsafe condition is identified
• Reports safety concerns immediately with management
• Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Activelyparticipates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifiesany production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor.
• Maintainproper documentation of data and collaborate with management staff andsupervisor
• Maintainscleanliness in designated work area throughout shift
• Cross-trainsin various operations and in various cells as needed
• Identifiesand lead fixture and tooling projects needed for new or existing product
• Performs other tasks as needed by management.
• Responsiblefor storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use ofthis information or documentation.
• Supportall visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUIinformation, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access byinforming management immediately of any concerns.
• Responsiblefor the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated inemployee’s work area.
• Performsother duties as assigned.
• Regular and acceptable attendance and is an essential function of this job.

RequiredExperience/Education/Training/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior schooling in Machine Technology, Manufacturing or Machining is preferred.

• Must be able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally.

• Able to read and write in English
• Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly.
• Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry from 11 to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Visual Acuity – Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly.
• May come into contact with chemicals.

Work Environmentand Safety Equipment Required:

• Manufacturing Shop atmosphere with open floor space, can be noisy at times, and is climate controlled.
• Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee’s standard hours.
• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.

ITAR/EAR Compliance:

This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export controllaws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residentstatus, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability tomeet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.

BaseCompensation:

USD $20.00to $22.00 paid hourly, based on experience.
