Shift: 3rd Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am

  • Set up and operate a multitude of CNC Carbide Presses which may include the following machines: Dorst, Osterwalder, Hydra-Chief or Teledyne.
  • Computer controlled setup of these machines.
  • Make adjustment to CNC programs as a part of setup.
  • Load and off-load inserts from multiple presses. Gage inserts to ensure proper dimensions.
  • Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.
  • Pull samples and record inspection results on route cart.
  • Selecting and weighing Tungsten powder for pressing into green inserts.
  • Separate scrap from good inserts and document accurately.
  • Scan correct production information.
  • Maintain tooling used in machines, resurfacing as needed.
  • Operate other equipment as needed.
  • Train new operators when required.
  • Operators required to troubleshoot moderate to complex problems.
  • Perform routine press maintenance (Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection checklist).

Safety Requirements:

  • Safety glasses with side shields, safety steel toe shoes, lifting trays weighing up to 33lbs, nitrile and/or cut resistant gloves required.
  • Approximately an 8.5hrs shift of walking/standing with a 30min non-paid lunch plus two additional 15min paid breaks.
  • Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection system.

Education Level:

  • Must have High school diploma or GED.
