GENERAL FUNCTION

Candidates should have technical aptitude, attention to detail, and motivation to learn and grow professionally. If this describes you, consider a career with Essilor.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will focus on one of the following areas, with cross-training opportunities in the future:

Coating Area
  • A Clipper, securing lenses into baskets for coating.
  • A Machine Operator, preparing and operating coating machines, including loading chemicals and lenses.
  • An Inspector, ensuring lenses meet optical and cosmetic standards.
Finishing Area
  • A Beveler, removing sharp edges of lenses.
  • A Mounter, fitting lenses into frames.
  • An Edger Operator, cutting lenses to size and shape.
  • A Finish Layout Preparer, readying lenses for edging.
  • A Tinter, tinting lenses.
  • An Inspector, checking lens and frame quality.
Surfacing Area
  • A Surfacing Blocker, securing lenses for surfacing.
  • A Surface Finer/Polisher, finishing lenses.
  • A Lens Washer, cleaning and inspecting lenses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • At least 1 year of related manufacturing experience; lab experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to meet standards in a dynamic environment, with good depth perception and manual dexterity.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to stand and walk for shifts, work with chemicals, and work overtime as needed.

Pay Range: $17.58 - $24.82

Compensation includes potential bonuses, benefits such as health care, retirement, paid time off, and employee discounts. Employee pay depends on various factors including location, experience, and qualifications.
