Job Description

We are seeking entry level Manufacturing Operator Assistants for our Newport Beach site. An Operator Assistant is someone who transports the product from one process area to another while using carts. There will be a lot of walking and standing involved with this position, along with repetitive activities.

Schedule: Compressed 4-3-3-4 work week...You work 4 days one week and the 3 days the other week...and go back and forth. Ultimately, within these two weeks you will have worked 80 hours since the work shift is 12 hours (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period) from 5:15 PM to 5:30 AM (night shift) or 5:15 AM - 5:30 PM (day shift). You always get a 3 or 4 day weekend!!

A1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 5:15am-5:30pm.

A2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday from 5:15pm-5:30am

B1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 5:15am-5:30pm

B2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday from 5:15p-5:30am

Requirements
  • Stand and/or walk continuously on average 10 hours on a daily basis
  • Push and pull a cart that weighs up to 50lbs for up to 10 hours a day
  • Lift and carry lot boxes that weigh up to 6lbs to 7lbs, using both hands, for up to 10 hours a day
  • Stoop and reach overhead frequently
  • Wear a mask for up to 10 hours a day
  • Wear a full gown, clean room smock
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
Compensation & Benefits

Employees are paid biweekly. Average pay is $21 per hour, around $44k per year.
Base rate $17.67 + shift premium + built in overtime (compressed work day 8+3.5)
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, 401(k), etc. (effective after 30 days from date of hire)
Vacation: After 1 year of employment
Paid Sick Time: After 90 days of employment
Bargaining Unit: This is a union job. Union dues are approximately $40 /month
Probationary period: 60 calendar days; up to 90 days
