Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Altavista, VA is seeking a Production Specialist to operate high-speed production equipment and manage packaging materials. You will complete work orders, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean production environment to ensure compliance with FDA/OSHA policies and Abbott procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, with strong communication and multitasking abilities to support a team-oriented operation

What You'll Work On

You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months prior manufacturing experience
• Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
• Experience with tools and equipment related to the position or experience as a Sr. Production Equipment Operator is desired

The base pay for this position is $19.05 - $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
