Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a Production Specialist Operator for the 3rd shift. You will run filling, processing and sterilizing equipment, monitor sterility, complete documentation, and uphold a safe, clean work environment.

You will work in a team, ensure materials are available, and support compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies while contributing to efficient production at the Columbus plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling, processing and sterilizing equipment and sampling responsibilities.
• Monitor charts and perform sterility tests.
• Complete work orders and documentations accurately.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Communicate effectively with department and plant staff.
• Maintain and replenish production materials and perform general housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies.

SHIFT

3rd shift, Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do As a Production Specialist Operator

• Safety operation of production equipment related to filling, processing and sterilizing equipment and sampling responsibilities.
• Monitors charts and performs tests to assure sterility.
• Responsible for the accurate completion of the work order and other documentation.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Effectively communicates within the department and plant with all levels of employees.
• Responsible for maintaining and replenishing production materials.
• Completes general housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience
• Must be able to work effectively within a team environment, possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Aseptic fill and sanitation process experience
• One year production experience within food manufacturing environment
• Forklift experience preferred

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
