Job summary

Saint-Gobain Abrasives is seeking a manufacturing operator for a Sunday-Thursday night shift (11:30 PM–7:15 AM) in Stephenville, TX. You will operate equipment, perform data entry, and ensure quality while meeting safety and waste reduction goals.

The role requires reading work orders, basic SPC analysis, and team collaboration to maintain continuous production. Responsibilities include start-up, run, shutdown, and reporting; routine maintenance and housekeeping; and adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Standing/bending for full shift
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly
• Read and interpret work orders and specs
• Perform basic computer data entry and reporting
• Analyze SPC charts and take corrective action when needed
• Work well in a team and follow safety rules

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment start-up, run and shut down production lines
• Perform computer operations to obtain order info and changes
• Enter accurate production and quality data into systems
• Maintain maintenance tasks and housekeeping for continuous operations
• Read orders and specs to ensure correct materials and outputs
• Adhere to safety rules and perform safety checks
• Analyze SPC charts and take necessary actions
• Support other duties as assigned

Job description

Responsible for machine operation, computer entry, reporting, maintenance, and quality functions to attain quality, safety, production, and waste reduction goals.

Position will be from Sunday - Thursday 1130pm - 7:15 am and overtime as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform equipment-operating functions including start-up, set-up, production run, shutdown, and housekeeping functions as a crew.
• Perform computer operations, obtain order information, order changes, etc. as required.
• Perform accurate reporting functions.
• Maintain continuous operations by performing minor maintenance functions on equipment.
• Maintain close attention to detail with the goal of producing a quality product with a minimum waste.
• Perform Back to Basics inspection.
• Read, interpret, and perform production functions according to work orders and specifications presented on computer screen and/or in hard copy. Ensure that adequate supplies and materials are available as required.
• Interact effectively within a team-oriented work group and with others to attain or surpass quality, production, safety, and waste reduction goals.
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines and perform required safety checks. Performs operations in a manner that ensures a safe working environment for all members of the crew.
• Analyze statistical process control charts and take appropriate action as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Ability to stand or bend continuously during a defined shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to work 40 hours during a defined shift, plus overtime as required.
• Able to work 11:30 pm - 7:15 am Sunday through Thursday and overtime as required
