Job Overview

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the efficient flow of incoming materials and the preparation of outgoing materials through the use of various material handling equipment, ERP systems, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. The role utilizes overhead cranes to maneuver material and stage it for the next operation. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.

Responsibilities
  • Move materials and components around the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit‑down forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Follow job orders and blueprints to specifications.
  • Perform machine set‑ups, operations, and maintenance to meet production demands.
  • Inspect and document work to accurately meet specifications.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials of various weights and lengths.
  • Work independently in a fast‑paced high‑production area with minimal supervision.
  • Use problem‑solving skills to stage and palletize loads efficiently and cost‑effectively on outbound trailers, including skidding, banding, wrapping, and crating product to save space and protect loads during transport.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing material for quality, dimensional accuracy, and correct quantities.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and a blueprint.
  • Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity.
  • Ability to climb portable ladders.
  • Effective communication with factory supervision.
Work Environment
  • ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; stand 75%; walk 20%; stoop, kneel or crouch 5% as required.
  • Climb portable ladders.
  • Wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.
  • Wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) in moderate noise levels.

Manufacturing Operator I: Min $17.59Max $26.39

Manufacturing Operator II: Min $19.74Max $29.62

Manufacturing Operator III: Min $21.42Max $32.14
