Job summary

MilliporeSigma in the United States is hiring for a manufacturing role focused on production, purification, and monitoring of chemical compounds using laboratory equipment and distributed control systems. You will be responsible for handling materials, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include in-process testing, data logging, SAP-based logistics, and maintaining safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or life science preferred.
• Strong communication skills verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Basic math skills including metric system.
• Ability to learn how to use manual and automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle production, purification, and monitoring of chemical compounds using laboratory equipment and distributed control systems to meet strict MilliporeSigma customer demands.
• Charge solids, liquids, and gases to production vessels, complete preventative maintenance tasks, and utilize material handling equipment (pallet mules) for safe staging and destaging.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex day-to-day packaging and production malfunctions, taking swift corrective action upon approval to minimize operational downtime.
• Perform in-process analytical testing with simple data interpretations, accurately logging all information into lab notebooks and batch records following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Utilize intermediate SAP knowledge to execute critical logistics functions, including entering work hours into PI sheets, managing material movements, and handling bills of materials.
• Actively foster a proactive safety and inclusive culture by identifying unsafe conditions, participating in incident investigations, and documenting actionable preventive suggestions.
• Champion 6S and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency, eliminate waste, and contribute directly to department goals.
• Verify the quality and integrity of all materials and equipment, while proactively suggesting necessary revisions or drafting new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Shift/Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am.

Your Role:

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

RSREMD

Pay Range for this position: $21/hour – $39/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
