Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled production technician to perform full-cycle production and process monitoring of chemical compounds. You will operate laboratory equipment and distributed control systems to meet stringent customer demands.

The role requires a HS diploma and 3+ years in industry. Expect night shift Sunday–Thursday, 10:00pm–6:30am, with safety as a core value and opportunities for growth. Competitive benefits include health insurance and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Log data in lab notebooks and batch records per GDP.
• Enter work hours into SAP PI sheets and manage material movements.
• Promote safety and an inclusive culture; participate in incident investigations.
• Support 6S and Operational Excellence initiatives to improve workflow.

Your Role

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Execute full-cycle production, purification, and monitoring of chemical compounds using laboratory equipment and distributed control systems to meet strict MilliporeSigma customer demands.
• Charge solids, liquids, and gases to production vessels, complete preventative maintenance tasks, and utilize material handling equipment (pallet mules) for safe staging and destaging.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex day-to-day packaging and production malfunctions, taking swift corrective action upon approval to minimize operational downtime.
• Perform in-process analytical testing with simple data interpretations, accurately logging all information into lab notebooks and batch records following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Utilize intermediate SAP knowledge to execute critical logistics functions, including entering work hours into PI sheets, managing material movements, and handling bills of materials.
• Actively foster a proactive safety and inclusive culture by identifying unsafe conditions, participating in incident investigations, and documenting actionable preventive suggestions.
• Champion 6S and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency, eliminate waste, and contribute directly to department goals.
• Verify the quality and integrity of all materials and equipment, while proactively suggesting necessary revisions or drafting new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Shift/Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science discipline
• Strong communication skills verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills
• Basic math skills, including using the metric system
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity
• Ability to learn how to use manual and automated equipment.

RSREMD

Pay Range for this position: $21/hour - $39/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
