Job summary

MilliporeSigma in the United States is seeking a manufacturing technician to produce, purify and package chemical compounds used in semiconductors and life science products. You will follow approved procedures, maintain safety and quality, and work with SAP and ISO-quality systems.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 2pm–10:30pm. The role requires HS diploma and 3+ years in industrial settings; training on lab and manufacturing safety, PPE and equipment operation.

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret written procedures.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce, purify and package chemical compounds to meet customer requirements.

Your Role:

This role is primarily focused on the safe and efficient manufacturing of products that are used by our customers to manufacture the most advanced semiconductors in the world as well as life science products that contribute to quality-of-life enhancements. In this role you will manufacture materials using existing production procedures and maintain a high level of safety and quality in the work environment.

In this role your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Produce, purify and package chemical compounds to meet the requirements of MilliporeSigma customers
• Stage materials utilizing a variety of warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and Powered Industrial Trucks
• Verify the quality and integrity of materials and equipment
• Perform in-process analytical testing including workups and simple interpretations as described in the Master Production Record
• Update batch records, computer systems and SAP per ISO procedures
• Demonstrate proper lab, manufacturing and packaging safety practices in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT and other regulatory agency guidelines
• Maintain a high level of safety with our pro‑active "see something - say something" approach to safety as well as participate in core operational excellence programs including Daily Management System, 6S organization and safety walks
• Participate in team-based objectives focused on improving safety, quality and production output of key manufacturing processes

Shift/Hours:

Monday - Fri, 2pm-10:30pm

Physical Attributes:

• Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals
• Work in occasional wet, humid abnormally hot or cold environment
• Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Work with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals
• Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Use a range of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment
• Work near moving mechanical parts

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with chemical handling
• Experience with chemical reactions and hazards
• Experience with ISO and quality systems
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand written protocols
• Experience with multitasking
• Strong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills

RSREMDPay Range for this position:

$21/hour - $38/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
