Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for 1st shift in Chardon, OH. You will read and follow standard work instructions and maintain a clean, safe working environment while producing poly glass pressure vessels and related components.

The role involves operating blow mold presses, inspecting parts, and handling offloading, assembly, filling, testing, and packaging. 1st shift hours are 6:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime available.

More Details About The Opportunity

The facility manufactures poly glass pressure vessels, hydropneumatics pressure tanks, brine and water storage tanks which are commonly used in water purification systems, including water softeners and well systems for residential customers. You will read and understand standard work instructions, comply with safety standards and procedures as well as help maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Job Duties

• Winding tank liner with fiberglass strands that are coated with a mixture of resin and hardener.
• Produce the liners and/or air cells using blow mold presses.
• Removing excess flashing as parts come off the press, as well as quality inspection.
• Offloading, assembling, filling, testing, and packaging tanks
• Follow all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Position hours/shift (Overtime Available!):

• 1st shift: 6:45am - 5:15pm, Monday - Thursday

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Compensation

• The hourly pay for this role is: $17.50 to $21/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
• Hiring Bonus**
• $1000 Hiring Bonus- The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
