Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a manufacturing associate to operate and troubleshoot production equipment on the shop floor. You will coordinate crew activities, ensure orders meet specifications, and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role requires 6 months of manufacturing experience, basic math and reading skills, and fluency in English for all documents. This is an on-site position with exposure to loud environments and occasional heavy lifting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, including safety, quality, and GMP guidelines.
  • 6 months of manufacturing job experience.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including reading procedures and using terminals.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift 15–30 lbs., climb, twist, reach, grasp.
  • Ability to sit, lift above shoulders, squat, reach above shoulders.
  • Ability to pull/push, stoop/bend, kneel occasionally.
  • Exposure to loud noises/machinery, chemicals, confined spaces (rare).
  • All applications in English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities related to the operation of assigned machines or areas.
  • Monitor, operate, set up, change over, and troubleshoot assigned equipment.
  • Train other associates.
  • Ensure customer orders are produced according to specifications, quality standards, and schedules/work orders.
  • Operate equipment within safety standards and guidelines.
  • Review production orders and verify customer specifications.
  • Ensure production meets quality standards, quantities, and machine specifications.
  • Coordinate assigned crew activities and communicate with material handlers during production runs and downtime.
  • Change over machines, including line clearance, work-order checks, material gathering, and batch/lot-number verification.
  • Troubleshoot equipment by adjusting speed, temperature, air pressure, eyelet/needle, tensioner, scale factor, and bobbin length.
  • Diagnose machine problems and communicate them to Asset Reliability.
  • Complete in-process inspection, move ticket, and daily production paperwork.
  • Enter data in SAP.
  • Support implementation of GMP requirements.
  • Use RedZone as instructed.

Requirements

  • Ability to consistently/frequently stand, walk, lift 15–30 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, twist, reach, grasp, move items, and feel with hands/fingers
  • Ability to occasionally sit, lift above shoulders and head, squat, and reach above shoulders and head
  • Ability to rarely pull and push, stoop/bend, and kneel
  • Ability to work with frequent exposure to loud noises/machinery, occasional exposure to chemicals, and rare entry into confined spaces
