Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the swing shift to support our Bently Nevada team. You will perform daily production tasks, operate multiple machines, and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role involves coordinating with engineering, planning, sales, and management to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 6 months in manufacturing or related roles, and a solid mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or similar roles.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use standard hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret routine instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Willingness to work swing shift and follow health, safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily production operations following safety, quality and procedures; complete work timely and accurately.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Communicate with Engineering, planners, Sales and Management to resolve assembly/scheduling issues.
  • Inspect purchased parts, components and equipment.
  • Collaborate with multi‑team environment to coordinate assembly and scheduling.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily production operations while following all applicable safety, quality and manufacturing procedures; complete work in a timely manner while maintaining excellent standards.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Communicate daily with Engineering teams, planners, Sales and Management to allow closed‑loop communication of assembly and scheduling issues.
  • Inspect purchased parts, components and equipment.
  • Work effectively in a multi‑team environment; communicate with sales, planning, engineering and management teams regarding assembly and scheduling issues.
Fuel your passion
  • Have High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
  • Be available to work swing shift – Monday through Friday 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm and overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Have a minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, customer service, clerical, technical, and / or mechanical roles.
  • Have a good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Be willing to learn and follow internal Health, Safety and Environmental policies to ensure compliance.
  • Have the ability to operate material moving equipment and/or obtain the necessary certification.
  • Work with small parts and read fine print.
  • Have ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Have ability to read and interpret routine instructions.
  • Work with approved chemicals.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
  • Be able to pass basic solder training.
