Job description

Job Brief

Efficiently set-up, fill, inspect, and package all Cast Booster products. The operator will ensure the safe and timely processing of PETN to meet booster operation demands, adhering to plant and site-specific safety rules and quality standards.

Starting Pay and Benefits

Starting pay is $24.92 an hour

We have 2 shifts available:

• 2^nd shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• 3rd shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

What You'll Do

As the Booster Manufacturing Operator, your responsibilities include:

• Manufacturing high-quality Booster products
• Properly stocking manufacturing areas and preparing products for shipping
• Setting up canisters, pouring hot pentolite, and managing cooling processes
• Transferring melted TNT/Triton, adding PETN per formulations, and monitoring processes
• Loading canisters onto pallets and packing finished products for shipping
• Driving a van/box truck for product transport and operating centrifuges
• Maintaining documentation and a clean work environment
• Implementing industry best practices, reducing waste, and supporting manufacturing initiatives
• Focusing on safety and quality, minimizing production impact
• Partnering with Maintenance to solve safety issues and improve machine uptime
• Promoting Zero Harm and ensuring compliance with safety standards

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred; training provided
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to pass an ATF background check for explosives possession
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Must be 21 or older
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift up to 58 lbs., and push/pull 83 lbs.
• Ability to wear and care for PPE (glasses, respirator, gloves, etc.)
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and friendliness
