Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Puerto Rico is seeking an Assembly I to join our manufacturing team. You will perform manual and semi-automatic assembly, inspect components, and ensure products meet Bill of Material, specs and SOPs.

You must have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and be willing to work overtime. The role emphasizes GMP, GDP, and safe, efficient production in a fast-paced environment. Baxter values teamwork and continuous improvement, offering training and growth opportunities.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • High school diploma required; entry-level assembler position suitable for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble product parts manually or on semi-automatic equipment following BOM, specs and SOPs.
  • Inspect product components at various stages of manufacturing.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area per GMP and 6S standards.
  • Report unsafe conditions and deviations in production or equipment.
  • Document operations and participate in continuous improvement and training.

Se asegura de que el producto tenga todos sus componentes. Realiza las pruebas de fuga y bloqueo al producto cuando son requeridas. Inspecciona el producto en todas las etapas de manufactura.


1. Coloca las piezas o partes del producto en la correa o transportador.

2. Hacer ensamblajes de piezas manualmente o en procesos semiautomáticos siguiendo métodos específicos.

3. Revisar que las piezas a usarse sean las apropiadas y que estén en buenas condiciones.

4. Empacar las unidades individuales según especifique Bill of Material, Specs y SOPs que apliquen

5. Empacar y paletizar producto final según especifique Bill of Material, Specs y SOPs que apliquen.

6. Inspeccionar visualmente el producto para detectar defectos.

7. Documentar según requerido.

8. Mantener el área de trabajo organizada y limpia de acuerdo al Programa de Sol 6S.

9. Informa cualquier condición insegura en el área de trabajo, así como cualquier desviación en el funcionamiento normal de la correa o maquinaria.

10. Cumplir en todo momento con las Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura (GMP), Buenas Prácticas de Documentación (GDP) con las reglas de la compañía y regulaciones de EHS.

11. Identificar oportunidades relacionadas a EHS para generar las I Care Cards.

12. Estas tareas y responsabilidades no se limitan a lo antes mencionado. Se puede requerir hacer otras, según las necesidades del departamento indicadas por el Group Leader y/o Supervisor.


Conocimientos básicos en computadoras. Destreza en comprensión de lectura, buena redacción y documentación. Excelente comunicación y destrezas interpersonales. Disponible para trabajar horas extra cuando sea requerido.


Trabajo Liviano: Ejerce hasta 20 lbs. de fuerza ocasionalmente, hasta 10 lbs. de fuerza frecuentemente y/o una insignificante cantidad de fuerza de forma constante para levantar, cargar, empujar, halar o mover objetos. Las demandas de los requerimientos físicos exceden los del Trabajo sedentario. Aunque el peso sea insignificante, el trabajo se considera liviano sí: Requiere caminar o estar de pie en un grado significativo de tiempo, o requiere estar sentado la mayor parte del tiempo, pero envuelve empujar y/o halar con los brazos o con los pies controles y/o requiere trabajar al ritmo de la producción, empujando ó halando materiales constantemente, aunque la cantidad de fuerza sea insignificante. Acorde con la tarea de inspección visual, se requiere cumplir con los requerimientos visuales atados al análisis del “Physical Task Demand” (Demanda Física del Puesto). Requiere de buenas destrezas motoras.


Diploma de Escuela Superior. Cumplir con los requerimientos como empleado regular de Baxter en la posición de Assembler I por un periodo no menor de 12 meses.
