Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking skilled machinists to perform machining work, repair machine components, and fabricate parts using lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, drills, engravers, and welding techniques.

You will inspect components to ensure blue print tolerances and maintain clean, organized work areas. Responsibilities include documenting production data, supporting production lines, and creating drawings with SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in reading drawings, samples or sketches to repair or fabricate parts.

Responsibilities

• Machining work to repair machine components and fabricate new parts using lathes, grinders, mills, drills, engravers and other shop equipment.
• Fabricate or modify tools and metal assemblies using welding techniques.
• Inspect incoming components with precision instruments to ensure tolerances and specifications.
• Keep work area clean and organized and document work performed.
• Install machine components and verify proper performance.
• Create drawings of parts and assemblies using Solid Works CAD software.

• Will perform machining work to repair machine components, damaged parts and or fabricates new parts using lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, drills, engravers and other machine shop equipment based on; Drawings, Samples or Sketches.
• Fabricates or modify tools and metal assemblies using latest welding techniques.
• Inspect incoming components with precision instrument to assure compliance to blue print tolerances or customer requirements.
• Must keep work area in the cleanest and most orderly condition.
• Install machine component and check for proper performance.
• Keep records and documents for work performed.

• Self-starter and capable of working with minimum supervision.

• Manually document (ex: checker chart) and /or electronically (ex: POMs) the required information to comply applicable procedures and specifications. This information includes but is not limited to process parameters, lots, amount of production, and others.

• Must support production lines to maintain machines, plant facility or manufacturing equipment working in excellent conditions.

• Must repair and provide maintenance to equipment, machinery by the utilization of sophisticated testing equipment, and specialized manuals.

• Create drawings of parts and drawing assemblies of parts fabricated in the machine shop using Solid Works CAD software.
