Job summary

Quality Tech Services, LLC in Bloomington, MN is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to lead the manufacturing operation, ensure production schedules, and coordinate with maintenance, scheduling and other departments.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree in business or engineering, has 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, and can drive improvements, mentor supervisors, and maintain quality and ISO compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Ability to consistently achieve short and long-term business results.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to coach and mentor to drive employee development and retention.
• Ability to follow through on commitments and hold team members accountable.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and mentor Supervisors on leadership skills to develop high performing teams
• Set and communicate production goals and objectives to achieve or exceed the strategic operating plan
• Provide a high level of technical expertise to support strategic growth objectives
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators
• Increase the company’s core manufacturing capabilities
• Conduct tier meetings, monitor metrics, and initiate corrective action plans
• Troubleshoot problem areas, proactively and drive accountability
• Promote the Operational Excellence Program and drive continuous improvement and accountability throughout the operation
• Create an open-door environment for employee questions and concerns
• Ensure all personnel are properly trained and performance goals and stretch assignments are communicated
• Partner with the Operational Excellence team on Kaizen events, 5(S), and process improvement initiatives
• Partner with Quality on the Quality Management System Compliance activities, and best practices for quality adherence
• Partner with Human Resources on talent management and employee engagement activities
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
• Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, and finance to meet company goals
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
