Job summary

Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee the plant’s overall operations in a dynamic environment. You will lead production, sales, maintenance, quality, and shipping with full P&L responsibility and drive cost controls, labor optimization, and continuous improvement across the facility.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing, Lean principles, and proficiency with ERP/Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university highly preferred.
  • Prior P&L responsibility and experience highly preferred.
  • Must understand financial statements and be skilled in making business decisions based on financial data.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures including Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse work force to meet aggressive financial and cultural expectations.
  • Excellent follow through and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills required both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of general Manufacturing software, ERP software and core Microsoft office suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership, mentoring and employee development skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Must have results-proven experience with plant recovery processes and continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates the Trulite's strategic vision to the Branch Management team.
  • Directs branch operations for production, sales, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
  • Has P&L responsibility for branch and ensures that financial goals are met.
  • Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, workforce, wages, and effective use of labor.
  • Directs and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards through branch leadership team.
  • Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Directs the maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to plant manager, sales manager, and other leadership positions.
  • Directs the appropriate safety conditions to ensure full OSHA compliance and to reduce the incidence of work-related injury to employees.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management and support functions.
  • Other duties as required.

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Truliteis GROWING! We are seeking a General Manager for our plant located in ______. The Operations Manageris responsible foroverall plant operations, leading direct and indirect subordinates in the facility and must carry management responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Operations Manager has overall P&L responsibility for the branch location.

What You Will Be Doing:

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university highly preferred; plus 10 years general management experience in a manufacturing environment. (Prior architectural glass and aluminum, construction, building materials, precast, or metal fabrication industry experience)
  • Prior P&L responsibility and experience highly preferred.
  • Must understand financial statements and be skilled in making business decisions based on financial data.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures including Lean manufacturing techniquesrequired.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse work force to meet aggressive financial and cultural expectations.
  • Must have excellent follow through and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skillsrequiredboth verbally and in writing.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general Manufacturing software, ERP software and core Microsoft office suite software, Excel,Wordand PowerPoint. Advanced excel knowledge preferred.
