What will you do as a Manufacturing Operations Manager at Sealed Air?
As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will play a key role in leading and optimizing manufacturing operations within the plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll oversee multiple departments and be accountable for achieving operational excellence through safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Lead daily production activities in alignment with the site’s strategic goals and the Global Supply Chain business plan.
- Manage and develop Group Performance Leaders (Supervisors) and indirectly oversee Team Performance Leaders (Shift Leads).
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and profitability.
- Collaborate with functional teams (Quality, HR, Engineering, Planning, Finance, etc.) to ensure resource planning, compliance, and process optimization.
- Monitor KPIs and production performance to ensure consistent delivery of customer commitments.
- Lead the implementation of new product launches and engineering projects.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across all shifts.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 8–12 years in manufacturing, including 5 years in a leadership position.
- Green Belt Certification preferred; strong knowledge of Lean principles required.
- Proven track record managing high-volume operations and leading multifunctional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and analytical tools.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities; able to prioritize and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Change agent mindset with the ability to engage and motivate others.
