Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Leader in Illinois to oversee multiple departments, drive on-time production and maintain quality across the line.

You will lead safety initiatives, manage performance, and develop teams while aligning with Smurfit Westrock core processes and cost controls. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to SOPs and GMPs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing management experience.
• 7-10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with at least 5 years in the printing industry.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate production for the site based on the production schedules provided by Scheduling.
• Develop and manage manufacturing capacity to ensure products meet requirements.
• Ensure appropriate sequencing and manning exist to fulfill the production schedule.
• Continuously monitor maintenance status and production rates to achieve uninterrupted flow and daily output expectations.
• Maintain Preventative Maintenance Programs to maximize asset utilization and ROI.
• Ensure schedule attainment and on-time shipping to support working capital initiatives.
