Job summary

Univar Solutions in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a production scheduling and plant operations leader to coordinate schedules, manage daily operations, and drive safety and continuous improvement on the production floor. The role partners with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to meet demand and optimize performance.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in operations, SAP or ERP experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time onsite role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of proven experience in operations.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation preferred.
• SAP or experience with similar ERP systems required.
• Adept with Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage production schedules to meet customer demand while balancing inventory, staffing, equipment, and plant capacity.
• Monitor production performance, adjust priorities, and communicate updates across teams.
• Lead shift communications, ensure safe and compliant work practices, and coordinate maintenance.
• Address operational issues, troubleshoot equipment and process challenges, minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support employee training and collaboration.
