Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Director for the Salt Lake City site to lead 600+ employees across a high‑mix, high‑volume job‑shop environment. The role focuses on safety, quality, on‑time delivery, and cost control while implementing Lean/Six Sigma improvements.

You will oversee production control, scheduling, and capital plans, working with engineering, programs, and supply chain to drive throughput and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of manufacturing or related experience.
• Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience acceptable.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or related environment.
• 5+ years of senior management experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and SQDCC across streams.
• Lead high-volume, job-shop manufacturing operations; ensure throughput, delivery, cost control.
• Oversee production control, scheduling, and material flow.
• Drive lean initiatives, problem-solving, and standard work across sites.
• Manage capital expenditure plans and cross-functional collaboration.
