Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Claysburg, PA is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist to join our manufacturing team.

You will identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, safety and inventory, and coordinate initiatives with plant management. As local leader for operational excellence, you will develop quarterly improvement plans, ensure staff training on processes, and publish standards across stations to drive efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• Requires some college coursework and knowledge of building/construction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to coach/mentor others.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for plant operations improvements (quality, productivity, safety, inventory, turnover).
• Lead and coordinate operational excellence initiatives at the plant level.
• Conduct periodic plant assessments and share best practices with management.
• Develop and update standard work processes and train workforce accordingly.
• Create quarterly operational excellence plans and track results.
• Ensure production staff are trained in processes and methods.
• Assist management in solving productivity issues and training solutions.
