Job summary

Hitachi Energy Korea seeks an experienced Manufacturing Materials Procurement & Inventory ManagementProfessional to develop production plans, manage supplier relationships, and optimize inventory in a hybrid setup. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years in planning, procurement, or supply chain within manufacturing.

You will analyze trends, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining accurate ERP records and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and production planning methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Fluency in Korean and English (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and forecasts based on sales orders, historical data, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor and track production progress, identifying and resolving deviations or bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions for materials and services.
  • Generate and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turns.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and material costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and production execution.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and planning records in the ERP system.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and production planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
