Job Description Summary
Second shift Supervisor role in Production Engine Test Operation (PETO) in BLDG 500. Responsible for leading a team of hourly employees (Testers) and directing daily operations on the off-shift. Responsibilities include planning operations, ensuring execution of said operations, and communicating with the salaried and hourly team on status of operations across key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity). Must be able to operate autonomously and execute against guidance.

  • Execution of operations and tracking performance of operations on your shift against key business metrics spanning Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.Oversight and management of hourly front-line manufacturing employees (Testers) to include job assignments. Developing in-depth knowledge of the test process.Collaborating with Testers and the salaried team to implement standard work and understand process pain points to enable execution of process improvements. Execution of key strategic initiatives to improve operations. In-depth understanding of key business drivers and metrics; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how PETO operates within the overall LM engine build process and how PETO operates across multiple functional disciplines (AEO, Facilities, Facilities Engineering, Test Enabling Hardware, Eval Engineering, Systems, etc.).Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • ·A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in execution of operations and tracking performance of operations). + Minimum of 3 years of execution of operations and tracking performance of operations.
