Job summary

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. in Sweetwater, Texas, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production teams, optimize workflow, and drive continuous improvement. You will ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule while mentoring supervisors and staff across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/industrial engineering background with 3–5 years of operations management experience in manufacturing, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years direct operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with new product launches is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Background working in a high-mix, low-volume product offering produced in both make-to-stock and make-to-order production volumes.
• Superior leadership skills to achieve all objectives.
• Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, and organizational skills are required.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly report to all levels of internal and external management.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and production personnel across multiple manufacturing departments.
• Manage production staffing levels, scheduling, and labor utilization to maximize productivity.
• Interpret data to help see broad trends, solve problems, and support capital investments.
• Delegate responsibility to supervisors and leads throughout the facility.
• Monitor production output and make adjustments to meet customer demand.
• Hands on in directing product flow and production.
• Ensure smooth and efficient assembly flow through the departments while overseeing personnel and processes.
• Inspire and direct department personnel to maintain schedule, on-time progress, and objectives to ensure high customer satisfaction rates.
• Operationally minded: identify and correct inefficient processes to decrease costs while increasing profitability.
• Actively assist other departments and lines of business to achieve their goals and objectives as needed.
• Assist with company planning, organizing, and execution of strategic goals and objectives.
• Complete other duties as assigned or required.
