Job summary

Bohan & Bradstreet in New York seeks a hands-on manufacturing leader to run a 40-50 person operation in an ISO/AS9100 environment, spanning metalworking, welding and assembly.

You will drive production planning, scheduling, workforce capacity and KPI performance, partner with Quality and Engineering, and mentor teams toward excellence, with relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• BS required; 8+ years in manufacturing leadership within ISO/AS9100.
• Experience managing metalworking, welding, and assembly operations.
• On-site Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage production plans to meet delivery commitments.
• Drive operational excellence through resource allocation and scheduling.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, throughput, scrap, labor efficiency, schedule attainment.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor work center load, labor capacity, tooling availability, and priorities.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions; collaborate with Supply Chain on replenishment.
• Contribute to annual operating plans and long-term strategic initiatives.

Job description

Lead daily manufacturing operations (40-50 employees) in a highly regulated engineered to spec manufacturer of products sold to global OEM markets with high quality standards. Looking for hands-on leadership to drive operations excellence for metalworking, welding, and assembly operations. Champion process improvements, equipment reliability, production management, and performance management.

This is a key business unit within a publicly traded corporation with record revenues and profits in 2025 and ahead of plan in 2026. This B2B is poised for growth with strong backlog and customer relations. Growth has come from product development, expanding customer base and satisfaction, and reinvestment into infrastructure.

Create and manage production plans to meet customer delivery commitments. Drive operational excellence through effective resource allocation, workforce planning, and production scheduling. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery, throughput, scrap, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment.

Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. Monitor work center load, labor capacity, tooling availability, and competing priorities to support short- and mid-term execution decisions. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions. Team with Supply Chain to develop material replenishment system. Contribute to annual operating plans and long-term strategic initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS: BS required (ideally in Engineering). Musthave 8+ years of manufacturing experience and most recently managing and mentoring metal working and/or welding and assembly operations within an ISO or AS9100 setting. Must be on-site Monday through Friday.

REWARD: $165,000 to $185,000 DOE plus excellent benefits and upside to Senior Manager and Director level; relocation assistance offered.
