Job summary

ITW Deltar Fasteners in Wisconsin seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead manufacturing cells, including plastics and assembly, driving KPIs and profitability while upholding safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will develop maintenance schedules, coach supervisors, implement lean manufacturing, and lead process improvements to elevate efficiency and product excellence across the plant.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree (prefer technical field) and/or comparable work experience.
• 3–5 years of plastic injection molding manufacturing experience (processing, materials, automation, molding machines, tools).
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop shift cell leaders/supervisors, including performance reviews.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Monitor, track, and drive accountability for KPIs.
• Develop plans for process improvements.
• Coordinate tool-runs, mold try-outs, and startup of full-scale production.
• Support safety initiatives and quality standards.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Manager will report the Plant Manager and will manage activities of manufacturing cells, including Plastics and Assembly areas, to achieve key performance metrics through maximum efficiency consistent with profit, quality, personnel, and safety objectives of the division.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop shift cell leaders/supervisors, including performance reviews
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and procedures
• Monitor, track, and drive accountability for key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Develop short-term and long-term plans for process improvements
• Coordinate first time tool-runs, perform rigorous mold try-outs, and start up full-scale production
• Active in the review of machine safety and corrective measures
• Establish quality standards as related to materials
• Establish, document, verify, and maintain optimum processing parameters and establish upper and lower control limits for process monitoring system
• Promote and sustain employee engagement initiatives that foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture focused on operational excellence
• Demonstrates servant leadership by helping employees and ITW reach their full potential.
• Actively communicate with plant personnel to improve quality and efficiency in production
• Work with management in establishing strategic plans for continued process improvement
• Monitor and understand new technologies to improve quality and efficiency
• Perform quality tasks as per TS16949 Quality Program
• Follows all safety guidelines and assist as needed in other areas of manufacturing
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

• BS or BA degree (prefer technical field of study) and/or comparable work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing environment (including processing, material fundamentals, automation experience, molding machine and tool experience)
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and performance metrics.
