Job summary

Southern Wholesale Glass, Inc. in Americus, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our full-time team in a manufacturing environment. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support site goals.

The ideal candidate brings energy, attention to detail, and a willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts on your feet. Prior glass industry experience is a plus, with opportunities to move to other departments and grow with the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Maintenance experience is required.
• Manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and layouts.
• Able to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds) and stand for long shifts.
• Must pass safety PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Provide emergency repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Carry out plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Use hand and power tools and meters safely.
• Report faults and unusual situations to supervision.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and comply with safety regulations.
