Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to assist in preventive maintenance and repair across our site. You will develop troubleshooting skills, perform component replacements, and maintain inventory while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, good communication, and the ability to work independently on a variety of maintenance tasks. High School degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing preventive maintenance tasks for buildings and equipment.
  • Develop troubleshooting and repair skills for equipment.
  • Assist in component replacement and maintaining inventory of parts.
  • Operate equipment, vehicles, and lifts safely.
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks (painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC).
  • Complete administrative duties and report maintenance status to supervisor.
  • Comply with safety regulations and document repair work.

This position is responsible for assisting in providing support in maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls to gain knowledge and skills for career development within Facility maintenance. A detailed breakdown of the different responsibilities associated with this position is defined below.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures concerning buildings and equipment.
  • Develop skills for troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Assist in performing component replacement.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
  • Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely.
  • Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
  • Clean the interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building.
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations.
  • Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor.
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors.
  • Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside.

Compensation

At Formlabs, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization.

The hourly base pay range for this role is: $23—$30 USD
