Job DescriptionJob Description

A growing manufacturing company is seeking maintenance technicians for their plant in Mooresville, IN. The maintenance technician repairs systems and components, troubleshoots, inspects, completes service requests, and oversees preventative maintenance in an efficient and timely manner for the needs and safety of guests, staff, and contractors. We are looking for a maintenance technician who is mechanically and electrically skilled to ensure our plant is maintained and operates under our QEHS policy.

HOURS:

Rotating schedule working every other weekend, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. ***Training will be Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for the first 30 days.***

SALARY: $30.00/HR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of the company.

  • Run service calls.

  • Repair plumbing, electric, mechanical, carpentry, and various types of equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties and obtain necessary materials to perform cost-effective maintenance and repair activities.

  • Report issues, problems, or items affecting (or potentially affecting) the proper and safe operation of equipment.

  • Prioritize assigned maintenance work to properly execute emergency and/or mechanical failure response.

  • Maintain proper documentation of all assigned maintenance policies, procedures, and schematics.

  • Maintain an acceptable log of planned and executed maintenance activities.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other persons associated with the company.

  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

  • Tenure of at least 1 year in previous positions.

  • At least 5 years of recent related experience.

  • Knowledge in the following trades: Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, and Electrical.

  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment.

  • Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment, i.e., forklifts.

  • Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.

  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Exhibit ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.

  • Work efficiently and manage time effectively.

  • Possess the physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.

WHY WORK HERE

Vision/Dental available on conversion date.

Medical after 90 days; employer covers 90% of the premium for employees only. Employees cover 100% of dependent/spouse premiums.

401K after 120 days; company matches the first 3% at 100% and 4-5% at 50%.

Two sick days and one personal day are available on theconversion date.

6 vacation days are awarded on their anniversary.

While on contract, all employees receive the same paid holidays as company employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the worker is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The worker may frequently bend, climb ladders, reach, and lift to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working hours will be spent in offices, the factory, the warehouse, and the outdoor grounds. Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets, should be worn regularly.
