Electro Mechanical Technician

Summary of Position:

Responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance and repair of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment, requiring strong mechanical skills including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyor systems, and PLCs.

Job Duties:

1. Complete preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.
2. Use root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with other departments.
3. Act as the "first responder" to line stops, ensuring quick repairs using PLC, electrical, and mechanical skills.
4. Support food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance.
5. Prioritize work to minimize downtime, complete paperwork in the CMMS, and manage work orders and spare parts.
6. Repair or maintain machinery, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement.
7. Diagnose malfunctions using testing devices and operate repaired machinery to verify fixes.
8. Analyze test results and error messages to diagnose issues.
9. Review maintenance reports to plan activities.
10. Inspect machinery for operational and safety standards.
11. Work with hydraulic systems, PLCs, Ladder Logic, and basic tool room equipment.
12. Seek growth opportunities and respond to feedback.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Work Experience & Certifications:

• Pass the Ramsey Mechanical (Electrical) Skills and Aptitude Assessment.
• At least 3 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to understand diagrams.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for about 85% of the day.
• Computer work for about 15% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effective communication skills.
