Job summary

Silgan Containers, America’s largest metal food packaging manufacturer, seeks an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed packaging equipment, performing preventive maintenance and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education required.
• 2+ years of Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read measuring instruments and work with tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical equipment and production machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime.
• Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, chains, gears, belts, conveyors, pumps, and other components.
• Use precision measuring instruments with tolerances up to .0010.
