Job summary

Mueller Water Products in Decatur, IL is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support foundry machinery. You will inspect, repair, and rebuild equipment, read blueprints, and perform welding and piping tasks to keep production moving.

The role demands 4+ years of maintenance experience, a strong safety record, and teamwork. Overtime and Saturdays may be required; a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience and/or schooling or a mix of both.
• Must have a safe work history and wear proper PPE when working.
• Must be professional, team player and maintain the highest standards of productivity and quality.
• This is a 2nd shift role which works Monday through Friday plus overtime including Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces.
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams; make sketches and rough blueprints.
• Make repair parts.
• Layout, set up, and perform all acetylene or electric welding and cutting operations.
• Install, repair, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform predictive / preventative maintenance operations including adding oil or grease.
• Clean up of hazardous material.

Work consists of the installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of all Foundry machinery, equipment, material handling equipment as well as possible repair of building and grounds.
