As a Manufacturing Maintenance Tech, supporting the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of filling and packaging equipment within the North Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on equipment, performing efficient corrective maintenance to restore functionality.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures.
  • Identify and implement mechanical/electrical changes to improve quality, compliance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in accordance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with Production to assess equipment reliability concerns, providing timely updates on status and repair timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Safely operate maintenance hand/power tools and test equipment.
  • Plan and execute PM activities with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust work priorities based on shifting production needs.
  • Perform technical setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment according to standards (cGMP, SOPs, etc.).
  • Complete documentation accurately and consistently in accordance with cGMP and cGDP standards.
  • Maintain aseptic certification and apply proper aseptic techniques as needed.
  • Work with suppliers to source spare parts and ensure vendor activities comply with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Assist plant engineers with new equipment startups and engineering changes.
  • Support training of new coworkers and share technical expertise to enhance team capability.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance on product quality issues and compliance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to resolve equipment issues.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 4 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: 2nd Shift – Monday through Friday from 2:00p.m. – 10:30p.m.
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
