Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic (Sun -Wed 4:30 PM - 4:30 AM) at B. Braun Medical Inc. (US) – Irvine, CA. B. Position summary and responsibilities are described below.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems.
• Repairs malfunctions of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Routinely checks machinery and systems for signs of fault to prevent downtime and interruptions.
• Initiates improvements to machine functionality to increase efficiency.
• May act as a team leader for more senior positions, ensuring work meets targets by overseeing team members.
• Documents activities accordingly and demonstrates knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced working knowledge of the technical field or area of specialization; general application of principles, theories and concepts; performs advanced shop floor competencies.
• Works under general supervision and may assist in orienting, training, and checking the work of others.
• Some limited judgment may be required in resolving problems; contact is mainly with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers; occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/G.E.D. required; Associate’s or technical degree preferred.
• Related experience or PBS requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance; ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.

Physical Demands

• Moderate work – Exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally; up to 20 lbs frequently; up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.
• Reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and standing; frequent handling and reaching.

Work Environment

• Production/manufacturing environment with associated noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits
