Job summary

Acme Brick Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain production assets and facilities, prioritizing safety and reliability. The role supports operations by performing preventive maintenance on machinery, utilities, and packaging equipment, and by following procedures and PPE requirements.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, interpret specifications, lift 25–50 pounds regularly, and be prepared to obtain Hazmat certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and other standards.
• Must be able to quickly identify materials.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to pass Hazmat exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and equipment for production, packaging, processing, and utilities.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Use hand/power tools and handling equipment in duties.
• Follow safety practices including lockout-tagout and PPE in designated areas.
