Job summary

ADN Group in Clackamas, Oregon seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic II to maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and perform preventive maintenance to keep production lines running.

This on-site role offers a night shift 10:00 PM to 06:30 AM PST, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime. Possibility to extend the assignment and convert to full-time; on conversion, union participation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
• LME license preferred.
• OSHA 10/CPR nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Observes all company safety policies and procedures and maintains good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all equipment; review information to develop options and implement solutions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints or manuals.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and utilize Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Complete maintenance reports and maintain plant equipment for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors and ensure parts or services are ordered as needed.
• Train others to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organization of spare parts and a clean work area.

USD$36.97 / hr

Work Timing:

Summary

• As a Maintenance Mechanic II you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance.

• Candidate must join onsite union once they have converted to full time.
• Candidate must be eligible to be employed for an indefinite duration without limited work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices
• *Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogues- as necessary.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts.
• Able to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required.
• Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required.
• Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required.
• Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.).
• Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organization of spare parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Complete special projects and duties as assigned.
• Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment.
• Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment.
• Welding mild and stainless steel.
• Complete work orders.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required.
• You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
• LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred.
• OSHA 10/CPR nice to have prior experience.
